What is a Shop without a Dog?

Millie Today

Our Millie today

After a four-month adoption search for a rescue dog resulted in picking out pups that were either already adopted or that Cesar Millan would strongly advise against, we found her…the sweetest, most well-mannered pup with big brown take-me-home-with-you eyes and a quiet disposition. Even after bringing her home, she was reserved and, maybe, a little too calm for a puppy. We thought she might still be under the influence having been spayed just a few days prior and started to question whether or not a puppy like this really could exist. It wasn’t until a few months later that all our questions would be answered and “Yes!” she was (and is) a dream pup!!!

Our “Missouri Mix” Millie started coming to work with us immediately and was dubbed Shop Dog by her co-workers. She watches over the workshop from her comfy bed nestled in the office, only barking when she hears an unfamiliar voice (Side Note: we apologize if you ever hear her on a Customer Service call). Once the machines stop in the workshop mid-day, she patiently waits for one of the team to come get her for lunch, where she tries to see if anyone will let her sample their meal. She’s a sucker for tennis balls, a game of fetch, and loves playing soccer. She practices her downward dog yoga pose numeroustimes a day – even greeting you with it. All in all, we’d say she’s one happy, and immensely loved, pup.

If this sounds like a fairy tale rescue, it was. We adopted Millie from 4 Paws 4 Rescue. For information about donating or adopting, check out their website or follow them on Facebook and Instagram (4Paws_4Rescue).
